Born and raised in New York City, Matt McGorry began his 9 year journey in training with the initial goal of performing a single pushup.

Having turned his health and fitness levels upside down, he began recreational bodybuilding which led him to a bodyweight of 220lbs; 75lb heavier than when he initially started training. The last 2 years, Matt has become a competitive powerlifter in the 198lb class.

He also has close to 5 years of experience in various martial arts and has attained the role of Assistant Self Defense Instructor in the Real Fighting system of RealFighting.com.

He believes that the ultimate body is one that performs as well as it looks.
